Kristin Mitchell MD, FACP

Dr. Mitchell is originally from California and completed her medical degree at the University of California San Francisco and her residency at the University of Washington in Seattle. Professionally, in addition to her practice, Dr. Mitchell has been very active in medical staff leadership at Central Peninsula Hospital, serving several roles including being the former Chief of Staff and the current Chair of Medicine, a role she has held since 2004.

She is board certified in internal medicine, most recently re-certified in 2008 and is a Fellow of American College of Physicians. She enjoys the careful management of patients with complex medical problems and has a special interest in sleep disorders.

Philosophy of care: "I enjoy getting to know my patients and seeing them through some of the major health issues in their lives. I love the challenge of solving new medical mysteries every day, and of translating the arcane language of medicine into something patients can understand"
