George Spady, MD

Dr. Spady is originally from Pratum Oregon. Prior to joining PIM he practiced internal medicine outside of Portland, Oregon for fifteen years and also ran a sizeable farm. In 2011, following a long-time dream to live in Alaska he made the transition and joined Peninsula Internal Medicine.

In addition to work at PIM, he also cares for patients as a hospitalist at Central Peninsula Hospital. He particularly enjoys the preventive aspect of internal medicine as well as caring for diseases such as diabetes and heart disease.

He describes himself as "a consultant to you as the patient. You will be the conductor of your concert, I can only make sggestions of the notes that you want to play". He also states that the "seven best cures of any illness is that which you can do for yourself----- exercise, fruits and vegetables, rest, sunshine, joy, laughter, and the best of all is optimism".

In addition to practicing medicine, Dr. Spady enjoys getting to know the people on the Kenai Peninsula and having fascinating conversations. He is an avid fisherman, gardner and reader of philosophy.
